Nothing beats the excitement of live entertainment. A good performer can interact with the crowd, fill the dancefloor and really make a wedding reception special.
Of course, you also need to think of the night as a whole. A band is unlikely to play from when your guests arrive until one or two AM, that's the job of a wedding day DJ. They will also want to leave once they've finished and you're faced with them dismantling while your guests try to dance.
In addition, you may find a separate band and DJ jostling for space and power sockets. This situation may well lead to disagreements that you have to sort on your wedding day!
All these pitfalls (and many more!) leave you with two options to ensure a great wedding reception:
1) Book a DJ and a band, pay a fortune, hope they fit in the venue and keep your fingers crossed

For our live segments, we sing to professional backing tracks, recorded using real instruments. The advantage of this is that we can easily tailor the sound to any venue. Too loud? We can change the volume instantly - try doing that with a drum kit!
We can also set up in a far smaller area than a band would require, using just two power sockets. All our equipment is PAT tested and we carry full public liability insurance.
Get Wed provide one point of contact to ensure a seamless night of brilliant entertainment. We'll be set up before your guests arrive and will not move until the night is over. Our prices are fully inclusive - if the party should run late, there are no extra costs.
